Care Instructions for this week’s box

Green lettuce: Give it a nice cold bath once unpacked, wrap in a dish towel and store in the fridge.

Asparagus: Keep bunched and keep in the crisper section of the fridge. Before use “snap” the stems to keep the most tender part on the top to cook.

Cucumber: Store in the fridge

Spinach: Same as the lettuce

Apples: Store in cool place- fridge or counter is fine

Red Potatoes: Keep in dry, dark place- basement or in a cabinet usually works

Radishes: Remove the tops from the bottoms so they don’t continue to draw moisture from the roots. The tops are edible- but also make great compost or chicken food!

Celery: Keep in the crisper section of the fridge.
