Care for this weeks ingredients:

Golden Zucchini, Cucumbers and Napa Cabbage: Store in fridge- best if squash is used within 3 days, will last 5-7 in crisper. Cucumbers will last up to a week, napa cabbage will start to get "floppy" after a few days- but sill fine.

 

Tomatoes: DO NOT REFRIGERATE. If you would like them riper, simply leave them on a windowsill, otherwise leave them on your kitchen counter. Will last up to a week, depending on ripeness.

 

Scallions: Either wrap in damp paper towel or put ends in small cup of water in the fridge.

 

Carrots: Remove the tops off the bunch upon returning home. The tops will continue to draw moisture out of the carrots and make them "rubbery" tops are edible. Store carrots in crisper.

 

Surprise ingredient: IF it's ready, store corn in fridge- use as soon as possible for optimum freshness. Picked corn starts loosing it's sugar content almost immediately.
